Private Driver - Rougham

Are you passionate about supporting your community, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service? Vertas is looking for a dedicated Private Hire Driver to join our Passenger Transport Team.

Based at Unit 40 Fred Castle Way, Rougham Industrial Estate, IP30 9ND
, you will be working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Approx 06:30 - 09:00 and 14:30 - 17:00, 38 weeks per year.

We are seeking dedicated Private Hire Drivers to join our Passenger Transport team, providing vital home-to-school transport services for children-many with special educational needs. This role offers meaningful, part-time work within your local community.

• Safely transporting between home and school
• Ensuring punctual collection and drop off
• Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle
• Following safeguarding, duty of care and passenger transport procedures at all times

• A caring, reliable and professional individual
• Someone with great communication skills and experience in a driving or customer-facing role
• A team player providing excellent service across the Vertas Group
• Someone able to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation

• Full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred)
• Valid West Suffolk Private Hire Licence (or willingness to obtain one)
• A professional, safety-led approach
• Willingness to agree to a training bond if a Private Hire Licence is not currently held

• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
• Children's Barred List check (where applicable)
• Right to Work checks
• Satisfactory references
• Verification of qualifications and professional registrations (where applicable)
• Occupational Health and medical clearance (where applicable)
• Assessment of suitability to work with children
