We are seeking a reliable and friendly School Cleaner to help keep a primary school environment safe, hygienic and welcoming. This role matters because a clean school supports pupil wellbeing, helps prevent illness and enables teaching and learning to run smoothly.

The School Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across school buildings and communal areas. You will work as part of a small team to deliver consistent cleaning standards that meet health and safety expectations for an educational environment.

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, staff rooms and other communal spaces to agreed standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and dust surfaces; empty and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Replenish consumables such as soap and paper where required.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns observed during duties.
• Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Work cooperatively with school staff and other cleaning team members to ensure handovers and coverage as needed.

• Previous experience in a cleaning role
• Good attention to detail and a practical approach to cleaning tasks.
• Basic ability to follow instructions and work independently with reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to manage physical tasks associated with cleaning, including handling equipment and moving light furniture.

• Part-time,with working pattern suitable for school hours.
• Pay: £12.85per hour.
