We are delighted to be supporting a successful, growing business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, in their search for an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator).
As a CNC Turner, youll be working within a modern, clean and fully air-conditioned machine shop, setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. The role offers a great balance of production and technical variety, with opportunities to work on new components and prototypes.
Responsibilities as the CNC Turner:- Set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
- Take jobs from first-off through to low and medium batch production.
- Support repeat production of established components.
- Work on new components, prototypes and design changes
- Monitor tooling and maintain efficient machining processes.
- Carry out in-process inspection and quality checks.
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines Doosan / Haas.
- Experience working with Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision machining.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
- Experience with in a precision engineering or similar manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Turner who enjoys variety rather than high-volume production, and who wants to be involved in improving how components are machined rather than simply loading machines and pressing start.
