38 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 20.45 – 06.15)
Responsible for the operation of Operations supporting the Production Manager with the day-to-day management of the Shift Team, overseeing operation, ensuring a safe and an efficient operation in achieving business targets. This role is part of the working team but key in directing the team and a point of contact for the shift team.

What you’ll be doingThe responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Strategy & PlanningTo operate to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
To report accurately and effectively on the daily progress of production including any delays and their causes to the Production Manager, so that adequate decisions can be made to minimise effects on customer deliveries, production efficiency and future production planning. Advise on manning levels and the scheduling of production tasks and any issues which may impact production timelines.
Communicating with all stakeholders to ensure the plan is followed and in line with achieving the weekly plan On Time in Full (OTIF).
Operational ManagementLead a ‘right first time’ policy and help to ensure that all orders are met on time and within specification.
Accuracy of stock movement and closing of Works orders and good inventory control.
Ensure 100% Plan vs Actual & operators are fully utilised.
Oversee and provide support to the distillation process and Control Panel Operator (CPO)
Organising & Preparing workloads for every operator and ensure minimum 95% labour (Done on Dayshift take out) utilisation and ensuring gaps are addressed through root cause analysis.
Ensure process controls are followed and all documented and all downtime is captured.
Complete a comprehensive written shift report and verbally hand over to ensure safe, efficient running of all processes.
Execute & Lead all Toolbox Talks based on any Continuous Improvement activities within the factory.
Ensure 5 S schedule in place and high standards of housekeeping and 5S are maintained within the department.
