Community Neurology Nurse

Overview

We are seeking a passionate individual to deliver a specialist nursing service which offers specialist care, knowledge, advice, information, support and education to patients with a progressive neurological condition, principally to those diagnosed with multiple sclerosis or motor neuron disease, and their carers/significant others, and to other Allied Health Professionals. The service is community based and will include working in nurse‑led clinic settings and in patients’ homes.

Prior experience working with people with progressive neurological conditions is desirable; the successful candidate will need to have proven post‑registration experience including experience in caring for those with long term conditions in either a community or hospital environment. Excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload, whilst also contributing to a small specialist nursing team working with people with a variety of long term neurology conditions.

Post‑registration experience in nursing with a proven record of caring for individuals with long term conditions in community or hospital settings. Experience with progressive neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis or motor neuron disease is highly desirable.
