This isa full-time, permanent role for oursite based in Bury St Edmunds.

As aTransport

Operator you’llbe supporting in delivering day to day transport operation tasks.

Shift times for this role are Monday-Friday(Nights
-9pm – 6am)

Pay, benefits and more:

We’relooking to offer a salary of up to £29,133per annum plus
25%-night shift allowance.

We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as theoptionto buyadditionaldays.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations.
• Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business.
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigate din a timely manner.
• First line of communication for the driver workforce.
• Despatch of trunks to other depots
• 10-night network route to car dealerships
• Receipt of inbound trunks.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Essential: A willingness to learn transport and build acareerwithin XPO.
• Essential:
  Calm,positive& analytical mindset. Be solutions focused.
• Essential:
  Excellent communication skills –you’llbe speaking regularly with various stakeholders with different personalities.
• Essential:
  Be able to pick up systems and procedures  able adaptto various challenges or situations that may arise.
• Essential:
  Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook.
• Highly Desirable - previous transport operator or planning experience.
