Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bury St Edmunds for a Transportation Manager. The incumbent will oversee and manage all aspects of the college’s transport operations, including the coordination and efficient running of the fleet. Key responsibilities include route planning, scheduling, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing a team of drivers, and delivering high-quality customer service to meet the needs of students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications
  • Operations Management and Transportation Management experience, with the ability to plan and efficiently manage logistics.
  • Strong communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with staff, students, and parents.
  • Proficiency in Fleet Management, including vehicle maintenance schedules and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Leadership skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in the education sector or managing school transportation services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and practices.
  • A valid driver’s license and any relevant professional certifications in transport management.
