As Investment Manager, you'll play a key role in the sale, acquisition and financing of our solar PV and BESS assets across Europe and Canada. You'll be closely involved in transactions from, working alongside senior management, our development team, investors and lenders. You'll also help grow our network of buyers, sellers and financing partners as our pipeline expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solar PV asset acquisitions and sales from initial assessment through to closing across international markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, banks, developers, advisors, and other relevant market participants.
- Stay close to the market, tracking transaction activity, valuation levels, financing conditions, and investor appetite, while proactively identifying financing partners, and counter parties across solar PV and BESS.
- Develop financial models to assess investment opportunities, project economics, financing structures, and returns.
- Prepare investment cases, valuations, and financial analysis (including sensitivities and risk analysis) for internal decision-making.
- Work directly with banks and investors on financing options, terms, and transaction structures.
- Coordinate closely with legal, technical, commercial, tax, and external advisory teams throughout the transaction process.
- Take clear ownership of outcomes, driving decisions, resolving issues, and maintaining momentum throughout the transaction process.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in M&A, renewable energy investments, project finance, or asset transactions.
- Strong experience in solar PV or renewable energy acquisitions and disposals. Experience in the Canadian market would be an advantage.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills, including experience with complex project finance structures.
- Strong understanding of project finance, debt sizing, return analysis, valuation, and financial risk.
- Comfortable managing transactions independently and working with banks, investors, advisors, and other external parties.
- Proactive and commercially minded, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on and comfortable taking responsibility from the early transaction stages through execution.
