Senior Engineer - Litigation Support
First Environment, Inc., a leading environmental consulting services company that provides strategic litigation and environmental/engineering services throughout the U.S., has a challenging career opportunity in their Northern New Jersey Headquarters for a Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities- Conduct technical and historical research in support of environmental contamination, toxic tort, and natural resource damage litigation
- Draft expert reports
- Review and analyze technical papers and reports
- Review and analyze pleadings, deposition transcripts and document discovery
- Prepare expert witnesses for deposition and trial testimony
- Communicate with clients and counsel
- Master’s Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer license
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Experience with per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) substances
- Understanding of basic sciences such as chemistry, geology and biology
- Understanding of site remediation technical and regulatory processes
- GIS skills a plus
- Competency in Microsoft Office and litigation support software applications
- Team player with a high degree of self-motivation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
