Gas Transmission Control Room Operator
High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated safety record.
- Ability to think clearly and function appropriately in stressful situations.
- Quick and accurate decision-making.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer operating experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn specialized computer applications quickly.
- Will obtain DOT certification for gas system operation.
- Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus.
- Control and monitor flows on North Western Energy natural gas transmission, storage, distribution, and production systems.
- Record and report transmission, storage, distribution, and production system data.
- Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions and implement real‑time actions that ensure stable and reliable operation.
- Coordinate flows with other gas transmission lines and report system data.
- Assume responsibility and authority to implement real‑time actions that ensure stable and reliable operations.
- Work a five‑week rotating shift that includes twelve‑hour shifts, including 8‑hour training shifts.
- Some overnight travel required (0–5%).
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.
- Ensure all actions align with North Western Energy's values, mission, and strategic objectives.
Full-time position. Union rate $47.42–$51.00 per hour, depending on experience.
