About the Role:
The Entry Level Mechanical Engineer is an early career engineering position focused on supporting the design, development, and manufacture of advanced mechanical systems and components. This role provides hands‑on exposure to full product development life cycles, from concept and prototyping through commercialization and manufacturing support. The position is ideal for a motivated mechanical engineer seeking rapid professional growth in a technically demanding, innovation‑driven environment with strong mentorship and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of new mechanical products and processes under the guidance of senior mechanical engineers.
- Assist with mechanical design activities for prototype, pre‑commercial, and commercial products.
- Contribute to CAD modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings for mechanical components and systems.
- Support design for manufacturing and design for assembly efforts to improve product quality and manufacturability.
- Assist with engineering analysis, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
- Participate in prototyping, build support, and iterative design improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and design records.
- Demonstrate strong initiative, learning agility, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Entry‑level to early‑career experience in mechanical design, internships, or academic project work.
- Proficiency with Solid Works or similar 3D CAD software.
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CAD analysis tools, simulation, or basic CAE methods.
- Exposure to prototyping, testing, or manufacturing environments.
- Interest in product development and industrial equipment design.
- Willingness to relocate and work on site in a hands‑on engineering role.
