Job Summary:
Salary DOE. Open until filled. Employee must meet the needs of members by providing quality service. Applicant must be attentive to detail, have the ability to learn a myriad of services the credit union offers. They must have accountability to complete tasks on a timely manner and have the autonomy to effectively grow as an employee as well as within the vision of the credit union.
The person requires the ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members and represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.
- Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.
- Receive share drafts and cash for deposit to member accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts for proper information and endorsement, and enter deposit information according to credit union procedures.
- Payout monies after verification of signatures and member balances.
- Process withdrawals from member accounts after proper verification.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring cash drawer does not exceed cash limits.
- Answer phone calls in a professional manner and effectively answer account questions for members.
- Obtain an up‑to‑date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services, including complying with disclosure requirements and privacy policies.
- Coordinate with other departments and refer members to departments/personnel providing specialized services as necessary.
- Abide by all credit union related policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, Know Your Member, robbery, safety and security procedures, and follow all credit union policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required, and complete continuing education as required.
