Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT RT(T) certification and 1+ year experience for a hospital Radiation Oncology department.

• Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program required
• Active state license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• ARRT certification with RT(T) specialty required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiation therapy
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology department
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Uses EPIC for electronic charting
• Administer ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes per Radiation Oncologist prescriptions
• Perform patient simulation, immobilization device setup, and treatment chart documentation
• Verify treatment MUs, beam energy, and cumulative doses while documenting all required information
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, including cerrobend block fabrication
• Develop x-rays and port films, observe patients for reactions, and maintain unit cleanliness and stock levels
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
