About the Role

The Senior Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in supporting advanced manufacturing operations for complex mechanical equipment in a high volume production environment. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to support both daily production and long term process optimization efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures to maintain compliance and repeatability.
  • Perform in process inspections and quality checks, accurately documenting results and identifying defects.
  • Assist with equipment setup, tool calibration, and validation of new or modified manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety training and contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture on the production floor.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and new hires, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a manufacturing technician, production technician, or similar role in a high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, automation, and process control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and documentation accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross functional collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, inspection tools, and corrective action processes.
  • Technical certifications such as OSHA, IPC, or related manufacturing credentials.
  • Experience supporting fabrication or assembly of complex mechanical equipment.
