Salary: £28,288 - £44,304 per annum
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

About Oaklands Manor School

The school is a specialist SEMH provision for pupils aged 11 to 17. They provide a small, structured and nurturing environment where young people can rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning and achieve their full potential. With high staff-to-pupil ratios, personalised learning programmes and a bespoke curriculum that combines education, enrichment and adventurous activities, we deliver tailored support that meets every pupil's unique needs.

Located in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, the school is recently refurbished features spacious classrooms, modern resources and excellent opportunities for outdoor learning.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with complex learning, behavioural and emotional needs. You will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes, supporting personal development and creating a safe, respectful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons for pupils across Key Stages 3 to 5
• Work with small classes and individual learners to maximise educational progress
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual educational and behavioural needs
• Prepare teaching resources, complete registers and maintain accurate records
• Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience and independence
• Monitor progress, assess learning and provide constructive feedback
• Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies
• Build effective relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
• Contribute to Individual Education and Behaviour Plans
• Promote the school's EPIC values and uphold the Staff Code of Conduct

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (essential)
• A passionate and committed approach to supporting pupils with SEND
• A minimum of two years' experience working within a SEND setting, specialist provision or similar environment
• Strong behaviour management and classroom practice
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A flexible, positive and child-centred approach
