The Role

Days of Working: 4 on 4 off rolling roster, 8am to 4pm - flexibility is required.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced and detail oriented Technical Assurance Manager to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality technical services across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining assurance processes, auditing technical performance, driving compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

The role requires a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence operational teams to achieve best practice and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of technical assurance strategies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct technical audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across business operations.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and company requirements.
  • Monitor technical performance and identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operational and project teams.
  • Review technical documentation, specifications, methodologies, and risk assessments for accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate technical failures, incidents, and non-conformances, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain assurance reporting, performance metrics, and compliance dashboards.
  • Support contract mobilisation activities and ensure technical compliance requirements are embedded from project inception.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure technical standards are maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and service delivery.
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer, accreditation, and regulatory assessments.
  • Contribute to training and competency development programmes to ensure technical standards are understood and maintained.
  • Ensure best practices are shared across teams and business units.
Essential - Key Skills & Experience
  • Significant experience in a technical assurance, engineering, compliance, quality, or operational assurance role.
  • Strong understanding of technical governance, auditing, compliance, and quality management systems.
  • Experience interpreting technical standards, regulations, and industry best practice requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in producing technical reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
Desirable
  • Experience with in Facilities Management, Engineering Services, Building Services, Infrastructure, or a related technical environment.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in an engineering, technical, or related discipline.
  • Experience managing ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or similar).
