Heavy Duty Mechanic

If it’s big, loud and covered in dust, you probably know how to fix it. We’re looking for Heavy Duty Mechanics who aren’t afraid to tear into engines, track down tough problems, and keep hard‑working equipment moving.

$32.00/hr - $36.00/hr

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural systems on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, graders, etc.
• Repair and replace defective parts, such as bearings, gears, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance of trucks and equipment either at the shop or on location of a breakdown.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues and determine repair procedures.
• Respond to field service calls and perform repairs on‑site as needed.
• Operate heavy equipment to test repairs and ensure functionality.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor time.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators to identify equipment problems.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards.
• Qualified candidates must have excellent mechanical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with brakes, tires, and other maintenance services.
• Must be familiar with both diesel and gas engines.
• A minimum of three years of experience.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing (CDL and Inspection License are not required but would be a plus).
• Must have own tools and a positive attitude.
