Job Description

Provide exceptional customer service to help people live healthier lives by treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, maintaining a safe, clean, inclusive environment, and offering the right products, services, and care at the right time. Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services consistent with state and federal laws while demonstrating the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and guidelines per company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers and follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Maintain departmental standards, keeping work stations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value to the customer and the company.
• Answer phones, triage calls, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortage limits, and company shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register, following all cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including processing electronic fund transactions such as Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, Gift Cards, cash, and checks.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring the pharmacist’s professional judgment.
• Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies regarding confidentiality.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment; manage conflict rationally and nonconfrontationally; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information; seek assistance when necessary to resolve problems.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults through direct interaction.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the position’s functions.

• Previous comparable experience.
• Experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Familiarity with EPRN.
