We are seeking a customer-focused team member to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return.

• Grocery Clerk helps customers discover items and information they inquire about.
• Grocery Clerk informs customers of food specials and recommends products to meet their needs.
• Check product quality for freshness and review "sell by" dates, taking appropriate action.
• Provide customers with fresh and non-perishable grocery products as ordered; stock and inventory department merchandise as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads; adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep temperature logs.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated; answer questions about products sold within the department and store.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents; work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Follow directions, resolve issues with honesty and integrity, and seek assistance as needed.
• Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
