Key Responsibilities- Develop and refine product designs and components using CAD software.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
- Perform design calculations, simulations, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product integrity.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure design manufacturability and resolve issues.
- Manage design changes and document revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised designs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA, Creo) for design and modeling.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, stamping) and material selection.
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and GD&T principles.
- Proven ability to analyze design challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions. Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
- Proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation software
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or assembly processes
