- The Nurse - Risk Manager delivers fundamental knowledge‑based care to assigned clients while developing technical skills. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age‑specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self‑management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate creative approaches to the management of program aspects of complex patient care. Demonstrates performance and beginning leadership skills that start to impact the standard of care and safety of staff while caring for all patients throughout the continuum of care. Responsible for leading a facility wide program for all services within the organization that meets the requirements of National Directives.
Oversee the provision of staff education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement consultation related to the program specifically. Continuously evaluates the program, collecting and submitting facility performance measures. Other duties as assigned. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Pay:
