We are looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the NP20 area. This role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a crucial stage in children's development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Year 2 pupils across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions (1:1 and small group).
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organization, and resource setting.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels safe and valued.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, structured classroom atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN specialists to support individual learning needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a genuine desire to support children.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Confidence in behaviour management and following school policies.
  • Previous classroom experience desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
