Occupational Therapy Clinical Professional Lead
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board's Occupational Therapy Service is seeking an exceptional Occupational Therapist who is ready to embrace an exciting opportunity as Clinical Professional Lead in Acute and Trauma services. This senior role provides both professional and operational leadership across a diverse and dynamic service area. As a key member of our senior leadership team, the post holder will play a central role in shaping services, influencing strategic direction, and championing quality, person-centred care.

- Extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist within relevant acute or trauma settings.

Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities
- Provide senior professional and operational leadership for Occupational Therapy across the Acute and Trauma portfolio.
- Offer high quality clinical guidance, ensuring high standards of practice and robust clinical governance.
- Lead and support teams through change, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making as part of the senior leadership group.
- Foster a culture of compassionate leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Work closely with professional and operational leaders to ensure services are efficient, responsive, and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Champion innovation and evidence-based practice across the portfolio.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and evaluation of service delivery ensuring effective management of human and other resources. The post holder will also provide the clinical and professional interface with the OT leads working in the above-named services. There will be a close working relationship with all other community services and non-statutory organisations. To communicate specialist information on a range of service development issues within the organisation and across other providers where there may be resistance to change and where co-operation is required to take developments forward.
