- Collaborate with other agencies, attend reviews and meetings, and consult with specialists
- Administration of medicines
Responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate use of users’ property (e.g., medicines and cash)
- Utilize specialist equipment to support individuals, report deficiencies, and follow practice protocols
- Lead the residential care home and assume the responsible person role where appropriate
- Lead staff, manage admissions, respond to emergencies, and liaise with the wider team
- Monitor health and well-being, acting quickly and appropriately
- Make informed independent decisions when necessary while seeking support when required
Care Worker Duties
- Build relationships to understand what makes a difference to individuals and empower their voice
- Provide innovative and inclusive care, enabling independence and participation
- Act as a key worker for individuals during meetings, providing oral and written contributions
- Maintain medicines procedures in line with policy
- Promote rights and support informed risk-taking
- Support personal care plans in partnership with individuals and leverage community resources
- Contribute to activity planning, monitoring, and evaluation aligned with service needs
- Encourage social skills development and community integration
- Explore creative approaches utilizing the individual’s strengths and networks
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions on well-being outcomes
- Identify barriers to outcomes, discuss with the team, and implement improvements
