Adjutant General's Corps – SPS

Responsibilities- Deliver the administration and running of the unit.
- Support the chain of command with decision‑making and administrative support.
- Manage day‑to‑day actions of the unit in barracks or on operations.
- Ensure soldiers are looked after and supported properly.
- Provide administrative support to soldiers and maintain unit readiness.
- Age 16 years 6 months to 36 years.
- GCSEs or equivalent (English Language and Maths grade A–D/9‑3, or Scottish National 4), or NVQ in Business Administration.
- Category B driving licence (car).
- Basic training as a Junior Soldier (under 17 years 6 months) or Regular Soldier (over 17 years 6 months).
- £26,334 a year from the start of training.

Basic training teaches you how to be a soldier, covering fieldcraft and rifle handling.
Step 2You have 15 weeks of specialist training at Worthy Down, Winchester, learning about military personnel and financial administration, using information systems, and gaining a Category B driving licence.
Qualifications you could get after training- Level 2 Certificate for Military Personnel Administrators
- Level 3 Diploma for Military Personnel Administrators
- Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT
- Accreditation by Defence Awarding Organisation, Institute of Leadership and Management and Chartered Management Institute (Levels 4 to
7) - Foundation degree in HR Practice
- Accountancy training after qualifying period and selection
- Category B Driving Licence
