Ward Clerk - Bonney Ward

Band 2 – Ward Clerk Vacancy – 13.5 hours post

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Ward Clerk vacancy for Bonney Ward.

Bonney Ward is a 27‑bedded ward consisting of acute medical patients. The ward specialises in diabetes, endocrinology, haematology, oncology, specialist palliative care and dermatology.

• Provide efficient clerical assistance to the nursing staff, ensuring speedy admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
• Answer all ward telephone calls to the department and direct enquiries to the appropriate members of staff.
• Enter patient information data into the hospital computerised WPAS system.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate courtesy and discretion when dealing with patients and relatives.

• Experience working in a hospital environment and familiarity with Oracle and WPAS.
• Good IT skills and ability to work efficiently with hospital computerised systems.
• Essential ability to speak Welsh.

• Meets all essential criteria as per attached job description/person specification.
