Hours:

Full-time, 37 hours per week BRC are working closely with a well-established Housing Association based in Gloucestershire to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their property services team. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of housing stock, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well maintained, while delivering high-quality surveying and contract management services. Duties:
Carry out building surveys, inspections, and condition reports across residential properties Manage day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works projects Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation Oversee contractors on site, monitoring performance, quality, and compliance Ensure all works meet current legislation, health & safety, and housing standards Diagnose building defects and recommend appropriate remedial actions Manage budgets and ensure value for money is achieved Liaise with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, ideally within social housing or local authority Relevant qualification in Building Surveying or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) Strong knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, and housing legislation Experience managing contractors and building works on site Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Excellent communication and organisational skills For more information, please call Meg Smith on or .
