SEMH Teaching Assistants Needed

Teacher Active are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work on a day to day, short term and long term basis in SEMH/SEND schools based in Birmingham. We are looking for people who have experience working with challenging students who are looking for a slight career change to move into a school environment.

The school are requiring extra staff due to extra student referrals which has meant that the school are needing extra staff to work 1:1 and general classroom help.

• Support pupils out of the classroom, with pastoral and personal development
• Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs
• Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason

• Previous experience working with teenagers
• Strong behaviour management
• Team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work
• Experience with in an SEMH school or setting

• A great rate of pay
• Sufficient time to plan and prepare lessons
