We understand this period of the academic year can be awful for great teachers where contracts do not get extended for many reasons. In turn, this can be stressful and very frustrating when there's not many vacancies available. However… Academics (agency) are hiring for a Religious Education teachers to occupy roles in excellent Cardiff schools without undergoing a tiresome application form.

These temporary roles will start in September 2026 and will be until July 2026, and the successful candidate may be offered a permanent contract. You will be expected to prepare and deliver lessons on religious beliefs, world religions, moral, philosophical and ethical issues.

• The temporary position has potential to transition into permanent 2026/27 contract.
• You will be paid according to your teacher pay grade (£173-£265 per day)

• Plan and prepare effective schemes of learning and lessons
• Use innovative and diverse teaching methods that supports the national curriculum
• Use regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets

• Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
• Valid DBS (Can be produced through us)
• Registered with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) (Can be produced through us)

• Full driving licence and have access to a car
• You live near Cardiff
