Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and caring individuals to join secondary schools across Caerphilly as Trainee SEN Learning Support Assistants. Responsibilities- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils aged 11-18.
- Assisting students within the classroom setting.
- Encouraging engagement and building confidence in learning.
- Supporting positive behaviour and inclusion.
- Helping create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Dyslexia
- Social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Education or tutoring
- Care or support work
- Youth work or coaching
- Social care or healthcare settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Willingness to complete funded training.
- The ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS check (full support provided).

Introduction to Being a Teaching Assistant, Level 2 Safeguarding & KCSIE, Positive Behaviour Management. - Advanced specialist training:
Understanding Autism, The Prevent Duty, Thrive Approach for Emotional Well‑being, The Complete SEND Diploma. - Further progression opportunities:
Team Teach Training, Cover Supervisor Courses.
- Weekly pay through PAYE (£93 per day).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
This advert is for a temporary position, with the option for the role to become permanent at a later date.
