Are you a motivated and adaptable Teaching Assistant with experience supporting behaviour and ASD? We are currently seeking reliable Secondary Teaching Assistants to work across Caerphilly secondary schools, supporting pupils on both short-term and long-term assignments.
Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, particularly supporting students with ASD and behavioural needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive engagement
- Support students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Assist in creating a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Flexible working to suit your schedule
- Opportunities across a network of Caerphilly secondary schools
- Variety of roles including day-to-day supply and long-term placements
- Dedicated consultant support throughout your placements
- Excellent experience for those considering a future in teaching
- Experience working with young people, ideally within schools or SEN/ALN settings
- Proven experience supporting behaviour and/or ASD
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and professional attitude
- Ability to travel to Caerphilly schools
- A genuine passion for supporting students and making a difference
- Hands‑on experience supporting students with ASD or behavioural needs
- Ability to build strong relationships quickly with students and staff
- Remain calm and confident in challenging situations
- Engage and motivate disengaged learners
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
