We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and committed Teacher of Science to join our dedicated team from September 2026 on a permanent basis.
Our school provides education for secondary-aged learners with social, emotional and behavioural needs. We are passionate about creating a nurturing, supportive and structured environment where every young person can achieve success, develop confidence and reach their full potential.

The RoleThe successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons to secondary-aged pupils.
- Build positive relationships with learners and support them to overcome barriers to learning.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external agencies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and its commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience of teaching Science at secondary level.
- Experience of working with children and young people who present with challenging behaviour or additional behavioural needs.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Experience working within a specialist, alternative provision or behaviour setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and restorative practices.
- Ability to teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
