Job DescriptionArtek is seeking a skilled and proactive Civil Engineer to join our engineering and infrastructure team. The role involves planning, designing, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery that meets safety, quality, and cost benchmarks. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle—from feasibility through to construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, models, and technical documents
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies
- Ensure designs comply with UK building codes and regulations
- Liaise with contractors, local authorities, and clients
- Identify and resolve engineering challenges
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Manage documentation and prepare regular progress reports
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of UK construction standards and safety regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and in a team
- Experience with budgeting and scheduling is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BEng);
Master’s degree (MEng/MSc) preferred - 2–5 years of relevant UK-based experience
- Working towards or achieved Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)
- Valid UK driving licence (for site travel)
