Head of Finance

This is a key appointment for the business and a genuine opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director as a trusted finance partner during an exciting phase of growth.

The role will suit a hands‑on qualified accountant who enjoys operating close to the detail while also contributing strategically to the wider direction of the business. You will take full ownership of the finance function, lead a small team and play a central role in supporting future growth plans.

With ambitious plans to grow the business in the coming years, the business is looking for an individual who wants to grow alongside the company and become a key part of its long‑term success.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Leading and developing a small finance team
• Maintaining strong financial controls and overseeing transactional finance
• Providing commercial insight to support business decision‑making
• Driving improvements across systems, reporting and processes
• Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business
• Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the wider group

This is a broad and evolving role with scope to increase in responsibility over time.

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience operating within a fast‑paced environment.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• Previous experience managing or mentoring a small finance team
• A proactive and hands‑on approach
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• The confidence to challenge and influence where required
• The ability to work effectively in a changing environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
