About the Role
We have an opportunity for a passionate and caring person to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in our Supported Living service in Caerphilly borough, Pontllanfraith. This is a 30‑hour part‑time position with an optional sleep‑in shift. The service operates 24/7 and requires flexibility with shifts.
Shift Details- Day shifts: 3:00 pm – 10 pm / 6:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Sleep‑in shifts (additional £62.64 per shift) are included in the rotating rota.
Provide essential support to three outgoing and independent individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs. Your day‑to‑day duties include:
- Medication administration
- Cooking skills and other household tasks
- Personal care assistance
- Accessing the community and supporting to local groups
- Supporting individuals’ hobbies and activities such as walking/hiking
- Being a team player with good communication skills
- Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard
- Supporting individuals to budget finances
- Providing companionship and discussing their interests and wellbeing
- Encouraging participation in activities that enhance life skills and promote independence
- Providing cleaning and administrative support where required
- Bringing fresh ideas to the team and implementing new ways of working
- Engaging with individuals’ specific needs
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential for daily visits)
- Background working with people with physical or mental health needs desired but not mandatory (full training and support will be provided)
- IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Experience working as part of a team and delivering customer service

- £24,531 (£12.75 per hour) salary
- Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 for an 8‑hour shift (approx. 1 shift per week)
- Waking night rate: 20% enhancement from 11 pm to 7 am
