Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Best Interests Assessments in line with the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
- Complete high-quality, legally robust reports within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with individuals, families, care providers, and professionals to ensure person-centred decision-making.
- Liaise with partner agencies to coordinate comprehensive and lawful care planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings in line with local authority standards.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (or relevant professional qualification eligible to practice as a BIA).
- Accredited Best Interest Assessor.
- Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Strong knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, and relevant case law.
