Moxie People are supporting a values‑driven housing organisation in South Wales to appoint a Decarbonisation Manager at a pivotal point in their sustainability journey.

About the role

Reporting into senior property leadership, you'll lead a small specialist team focused on asset strategy, planned works, and energy efficiency retrofit. Your work will shape how homes perform today - and for decades to come.

• Leading and developing an Asset & Decarbonisation team, creating a culture of ownership and accountability
• Overseeing planned and major works programmes, ensuring quality, value for money, and resident satisfaction
• Managing retrofit and decarbonisation projects to meet energy efficiency targets
• Using asset data and condition surveys to inform long‑term investment planning
• Procuring and managing contractors, ensuring compliance, safety, and strong performance
• Working collaboratively across the organisation to improve services and outcomes for residents

About you

• You're someone who cares deeply about the quality of people's homes and the role decarbonisation plays in improving lives
• You'll have solid experience in asset management, building surveying, or planned works, with a good understanding of energy efficiency or retrofit
• You're a confident people leader who enjoys developing others and creating a culture of accountability and trust
• You're comfortable using data to plan ahead, make decisions, and improve services - not just report on them
• You understand contractor management and procurement, and you care about quality, safety, and value for money
• Experience with in social or affordable housing is a strong advantage, but your values, judgement, and collaborative approach matter just as much
