Service Manager – Print Equipment

OverviewWe have an unmissable opportunity for an experienced Print Equipment Service professional to join one of the world’s most prestigious print equipment suppliers. This leading organisation manufactures digital, litho and ancillary printing equipment of superior quality and reliability.
Responsibilities- Take full management responsibility for day‑to‑day operation of the Service Operations and Technical teams, covering installations, reactive, pro‑active and warranty work, and achieving the appropriate balance between customer satisfaction and financial responsibility to achieve the departmental budget.
- Lead a team of office‑based service operators and field‑based technical professionals.
- Recruit, manage, develop and motivate the team according to company procedures, policy and employment law.
- Plan and manage activities to deliver effective and efficient customer service and control costs in line with business goals.
- Develop, implement and monitor initiatives, systems and processes to improve departmental efficiencies.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to the sales department.
- Liaise closely with other members of the European service management team, sharing technical resources and information.
- Manage key account initiatives, resolve customer queries, issues and complaints, including site visits where appropriate.
- Promote and sell proactive service activities, projects and packages.
- Background in Print/Technical/Engineering/Service team management.
- Strong people‑management skills, capable of leading from the front and positively influencing a team.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience preparing departmental budgets.
- Experience producing accurate monthly management reports covering financial performance against budget, installation status, departmental activity, customer service, technical issues and proactive service prospects.
- Experience invoicing chargeable work accurately.
- Outstanding knowledge of printing equipment.
