Role Overview

The Integration Lead is responsible for planning and implementing interventions to continuously improve operational processes between the National Probation Service (NPS), Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs) and other delivery partners. The role also supports business change initiatives for NPS divisions and Deputy Directors at a regional level. Additionally, the position involves strategic, Wales‑wide analytical support for the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) programme.

Responsibilities
  • Improve and implement effective operational processes between the NPS and its partners.
  • Carry out analysis to make operational processes and relationships more effective between the NPS, CRCs, and wider partnership groups (CPS, Police, Courts, Prisons).
  • Support the improvement of handling critical touch‑points in operational processes.
  • Implement associated change management activities.
  • Plan and design the change required to optimise interfaces between delivery partners.
  • Coordinate operational input to HQ projects to improve organisational interfaces.
  • Manage linkages and interdependencies with local change programmes.
  • Communicate effectively: provide information, feedback, advice, and influence stakeholders.
  • Chair and participate in meetings, enhancing own performance and professional development.
  • Use data to take critical decisions, develop systems, and compile reports.
  • Develop and utilise data to identify trends and take appropriate action to maintain and enhance performance.
  • Plan, implement, and manage systems for the exchange of sensitive information, data and intelligence.
  • Manage diversity and quality, promoting equality and implementing service diversity policies.
  • Produce detailed analyses of offending patterns, performance and outcomes for the IOM programme.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for multi‑agency delivery.
  • Respond to bespoke analytical requests and support partners to understand trends and risks.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders, contribute to governance forums and support inspection readiness.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data‑led recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience of successfully identifying and improving organisational efficiency and implementing successful change projects.
  • Operational experience of working in a Probation setting.

  • Line management responsibility for the IOM Performance & Quality Officer.
