Sheetmetal fabricator

This is a full-time on-site role based in Caerphilly for a Sheet metal Fabricator. The Sheet metal Fabricator will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical drawings, fabricating metal components, operating machinery and tools such as presses, brakes, and saws, maintaining and repairing metal structures, and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and quality standards. The role involves working both independently and as part of a team within a workshop environment to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, shaping, and assembling
• Experience with operating fabrication tools and machinery, such as press brakes, shears, and welding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and experience adhering to safety procedures
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and quality control experience
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
• Previous experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication is an advantage
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring strength and precision
