# Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN)
Bira Care Homes Cefn Lodge Full time
· 36 hours working night shifts
From £20.00 per hour## About the role## About the role
You'll provide and lead on safe, effective nursing care for residents — meeting their physical and emotional needs in line with clinical best practice and regulatory standards, and acting as a role model who supports other staff to deliver excellent care.## What you'll do
* Provide high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, including complex care such as wound care, catheter care and end-of-life support.
* Lead on person-centred care planning and reviews in collaboration with residents, families and external professionals.
* Administer and record medications accurately in line with policy.
* Comply with CIW/CQC and NMC standards, including infection control, safeguarding and clinical governance, completing clinical documentation, risk assessments and care plans to a high standard.
* Lead and delegate effectively on shift, attending and contributing to handovers, team meetings and multidisciplinary reviews.
* Build positive relationships with residents, families and the wider healthcare team.
* Report clinical concerns, incidents or deterioration promptly, and support audits and quality checks to ensure clinical safety.
* Maintain your NMC registration and revalidation, and support the learning and development of care staff and students.## What you'll need
* NMC-registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with registration maintained and active
* Previous experience in a care home or similar environment
* Confidence managing medication and clinical needs
* Strong team leadership and communication skills
* Enhanced DBS check, right to work in the UK, and Social Care Wales registration (for nurses in Wales)### Desirable
* Experience supporting staff training and mentoring
* Willingness to complete further specialist training
