As Catering Assistant, your core task is to be the face of our service, delivering excellent customer service with a smile, while getting hands-on with the preparation of delicious, nutritious, and high-quality meals made with fresh, sustainable ingredients.

Role Responsibility

Service Excellence: Work as a dynamic part of the team to create a fantastic dining experience for all our students and staff—you’re key to lunchtime happiness!

Customer Champion: Serve food and operate thetills(don't worry, we provide full training!).

Culinary Support:Jump in and assist the chefs with meal preparation, playing a vital role in bringing our delicious menus to life.

Keep it Sparkling: Ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

  • Safety First:Adhering to all guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.
The Ideal Candidate

We need someone who shares our passion for serving up the highest standards of food and service:

A friendly, versatile personality with the energy to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment.

Exceptional customer service skills are a must—you love interacting with people!

Previous catering or food service experience is a bonus!

A basic understanding of Health and Safety practices.

Food Hygiene Level 2 is great, but not essential—we believe in training, so we’ll provide it for the right enthusiastic candidate!

Monday to Friday working only—say goodbye to all weekend shifts!

17.5 hours working with no late nights.

38 working weeks per year, structured around the term-time calendar (maximising time with family and friends!).

£12.71 per hour
