Job Title

Catering Assistant

Permanent, full‑time (8 hours 45 minutes per week). Work is term‑time only (38 weeks), Monday to Friday, with an annualised pay scheme.

Salary: £25,949 (including the Real Living Wage Supplement) or £13.45 hourly.

• Assist the cook in preparing nutritious and appetising meals.
• Ensure compliance with all Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
• Set up and clear tables and perform general cleaning duties.
• Support other catering duties as required.

• Build good relationships with adults and children based on mutual respect.
• Basic knowledge of food safety – full training will be provided.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills, flexibility.

• Enhanced DBS check with Barred List disclosure required.
• Basic (Level 2) spoken Welsh – reasonable support will be provided.
