Role OverviewWe areseekinga motivated, target-drivenand commercially focused Account Manager to join our busy sales office in Biddulph. This is a key role responsible formaintainingand developing customer relationships, driving revenue growth, preparingaccuratequotesand supporting external sales colleagues.
The successful candidate willdemonstratestrong communication skills, commercialawarenessand the ability to manage multiple customer accounts effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard creditworthy new customers in line with company procedures.
- Develop and deliver a structured programme of outbound sales activity, including promotional and cold calls, ensuring agreed contact targets with both existing customers and prospects are achieved.
- Build andmaintainstrong customer relationships to understand requirements and increase purchase frequency and account value.
- Monitor and improve conversion ratios across active,dormantand prospective accounts.
- Maintainaccurateand up-to-date customer records,report sand database information.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Prepareaccuratequotations and updated pricing for customers, ensuringtimelyand effective follow-up.
- Escalate quality management (non-conformance) and payment queries to the Sales Manager as appropriate.
- Ensure all sales enquiries are accurately recorded within theKliCCsystem.
- Check stock availability and raise customer orders in line with site capabilities, including lead times, stocklevelsand processing capacity.
- Proven experience in aproactivesales or account management role (preferably within steel, metals,manufacturingor industrial sectors).
- Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- High levelof organisation and attention to detail.
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
