About the role:
There’s a new opportunity within our Technical Solutions Manager – Solutions for the London area. Reporting directly to the National Solutions Manager, you’ll play an integral part in maximising market share and sales through relationships with specifiers and key contractors while enhancing the customer experience to provide a competitive advantage within the Commercial HVAC market for Baxi.
- Deliver the solutions selling strategy, growth and lead generation within your defined area.
- Develop a bank of sales specification opportunities taking into account all Baxi ranges to meet customers’ needs as the market moves toward decarbonised options.
- Deliver solutions to specifiers and contractors’ needs, ensuring a robust order bank of sales that can be delivered through our distribution partners.
- Work closely with the Technical Solutions team to provide technical support and solution design, helping to secure specifications with a focus on decarbonisation.
- Identify opportunities for utilizing existing brands for further acquisition and company growth into new sectors within the HVAC sector.
- Organise and proactively manage sales activity for the company.
- Deliver the budget and build the project pipeline, meeting and exceeding all KPIs outlined by your Manager.
- Manage day‑to‑day activities, reports and communications.
- Forecast demand and identify trends by maintaining close relationships with key customers and decision makers.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously across different stages.
- Provide detailed consultations with design engineers and contractors.
- Negotiate and manage the needs and expectations of customers to influence buying decisions.
Essential
- Extensive experience within a technical and engineering discipline or education to HND/Degree level.
- Proven track record of delivering lead generation and sales across multiple channels and market segments.
- Experience with senior‑level negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to use mathematical concepts to create solutions for presentation and implementation to a non‑technical audience.
- Highly numerate, able to turn data into information and action.
- Strong understanding of market, products and services in the UK construction sector.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Broad knowledge of UK construction routes to market.
- Excellent all‑round communicator with strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, able to communicate at all levels.
- Experience working across multiple segments and applications within the construction industry.
Desirable
- Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate this across key external and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with in a highly technical B2B manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and ownership of government framework agreements.
- Experience in successfully implementing low‑carbon and high‑efficiency agendas.
