OverviewWe are seeking dedicated Housing Support Workers to join a mental health service in Caerphilly. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives by providing essential emotional, practical, and social support. The Housing Support Worker will play a vital role in helping clients achieve recovery and independence within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to discuss their feelings and experiences.
- Offer reassurance, active listening, and encouragement to promote self-esteem and confidence.
- Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, shopping, attending appointments, and medication routines.
- Support clients with managing finances, benefits, and bills.
- Help implement individual recovery plans in collaboration with mental health professionals.
- Encourage social inclusion by facilitating access to community resources and activities.
- Identify early warning signs of mental health deterioration and respond appropriately in emergencies.
- Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of clients and others.
- At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting.
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
