The Role

The Caerphilly Homelessness Support service goes a long way in helping to tackle homelessness by giving opportunities to street homeless people who feel like there is no other option for them. This is a dynamic role where you will be out and about most of the time delivering the essential support needed to help people who have been placed in temporary, supported accommodation.

This is also a highly rewarding role where you can make a positive difference to someone’s life by finding them somewhere to live as well as supporting them to engage with external services and agencies that can provide them with the much-needed support they require.

Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.

• A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for the role.
• A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
• An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
• A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
• Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
• Knowledge of housing related support, benefits system
