Packaging FLT Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Packaging FLT Operative to join the Warehouse team of a well-established business.
This is a varied and important position that goes beyond a traditional FLT role. Although the successful candidate will undertake regular forklift duties, the primary focus will be on the accurate management, movement and reconciliation of stock
.
Working closely with the Production and Warehouse teams, you will play an important role in ensuring packaging and ingredients are available when required and that stock movements are accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the intake and inspection of packaging delivered to site.
- Issuing and reconciling packaging to production areas.
- Issuing and controlling ingredients within the warehouse.
- Operating forklifts safely within a busy warehouse environment.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Moving stock using pallet trucks and reach trucks.
- Accurately recording all stock movements using the Warehouse Management System.
- Supporting annual stock checks and inventory activities.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Prioritising workload effectively to meet operational requirements.
- Using a company vehicle to transport stock between units where required.
Pay: £13.38 per hour
Working Pattern: Sunday to Thursday
Sunday Enhancement: Double time
Working Hours: Some flexibility is available and can be discussed with suitable candidates.
Monday – Thursday 12pm – 8pm / 11am – 7pm
This is a key position within the business, supporting both production and warehousing operations
. The role would suit an organised and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining accurate stock records, works well under pressure and is confident operating FLT equipment in a busy environment.
This is not a full Stock Controller position
, as the wider stock control function is managed by a dedicated Stock Controller. However, the successful candidate will have an important role in maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the smooth movement of materials throughout the operation.
- FLT experience, including reach truck operation.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Good understanding of warehouse and Health & Safety procedures.
- Reliable and organised approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
