Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction you process. Earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.54 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries and problem resolution.

Associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor, stock, and merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items according to policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborates to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods and perform duties that may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Potential outdoor assistance to customers or retrieving products stored in exterior storage areas may be required.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
