Healthcare Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist
The MN Merit System is seeking a public health nurse to provide nursing service to individuals, families, and communities.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing client needs and coordinating service providers
- Providing direct skilled nursing service to clients as recommended by physicians
- Uncovering health problems through observation, interviews, and analysis of records and initiating appropriate action
- Teaching clients and family members about healthful living and proper nursing care
- Communicating with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans
- Performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results
- Maintaining case file documentation
- Providing school health services and participating in program planning and development
Requirements include certification as a public health nurse in Minnesota and current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota.
The examination will consist of a rating of training and experience based on the application and supplemental questions.
Note: Any experience claimed in supplemental questions must be included in the Work Experience section of the application to be credited.
